Collage
Collage is an integral part of my artistic process. It is important for me to utilize ready made or found material in all of my work in order to embrace the unknown and the everyday objects that inhabit my environment and mind. I utilize these materials as a form of integration, improvisation, play and liberation. Often I will also use other people, spaces, three dimensional objects, sound or video in this play. I also like to incorporate poetry, photographs or any form of the written word. Collaboration is a favorite method of mine for my artistic practice, and collaborating with already existing materials and people gets me out of my limited mode of thinking and integrates me into a large field of connections.
